History Teacher - Sunderland

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a History Teacher on behalf of a client Faith School in Sunderland. The role is due to start the week after the Easter holiday and consists of a 3 day per week timetable. You will be prepping and delivering lessons across KS3-KS4 to classes of mixed ability. The GCSE Curriculum the school follow is Edexcel. The days the school would require cover is Tuesday-Thursday however, for the right Teacher they could be flexible with days.

The school is located in Sunderland and has over 1000 pupils on roll. The school is of Catholic Faith and has over 800 pupils - behaviour within the school is good and the most recent Ofsted rating graded the school as 'Outstanding'.

An ideal candidate will have:

  • UK recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience Teaching History across KS3 - KS4
  • Experience working in a faith School - not essential but desired
  • A friendly and patient approach to teaching and a vision to enhance pupil attainment
  • Strong behaviour management skills and an ability to develop positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • The ability to plan and deliver effective lessons
