History Teacher - Tameside

  • Full time History teaching post
  • Pay ranging form £95-£160 per day
  • Good graded Ofsted school

Academy School in Tameside require a History teacher to fill a recent vacancy within their department. Ideally starting in June this is a full time History teaching position with the school willing to wait until September for the successful Historian. You will have a proven track record of raising the attainment of students across KS3 and KS4, significantly contributing to a History department.

The school received a Good grading in their latest Ofsted report under the guidance and excellent direction of the senior leadership team. Located in the SK15 post code of Tameside the school has a train station under a mile away and direct bus routes.

With over 700 students on roll this is an open vacancy, initially on a long term supply basis the school are considering offering the successful History teacher a school based contract.

“We will prepare everybody for future success, equipped with the knowledge, passion and skills to positively contribute to their community and the wider world.

Currently the school are achieving below the national averages academically with 40% off students achieving at least 5 A*-C grades in their GCSEs. THE History department have seen an uplift tin their performance with a year on year increase the last 3 years.

**Pay ranging from £95-£160 per day

**Good pupil behaviour and a supportive department

**Teaching in a Good graded Ofsted School

**Full time position continuing in September with the option of a school contract

To be eligible you will need to have experience teaching History in the UK up to GCSE Level, Qualified teacher status, school based references and a fully enhanced DBS certificate.

Interviews and trials will be commencing in the next month so you must attend these to successful.
