History Teacher – York
Full-Time, Temporary
£150–£220 per day

We are seeking an enthusiastic History Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in York. This is a full-time temporary role, offering a fantastic opportunity to inspire students and bring the past to life.

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver engaging and creative History lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Plan, prepare, and assess in line with the curriculum

  • Support students in achieving their academic potential

  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for History

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • A commitment to supporting student progress and wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
