We’re looking for an enthusiastic KS3 & KS4 History Teacher to join a welcoming and high-performing secondary school in Tewkesbury. What You’ll Do

  • Deliver dynamic, engaging lessons that captivate students and bring the past vividly to life

  • Teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, following the National Curriculum

  • Encourage debate, discussion, and critical thinking through powerful storytelling and inquiry-based learning

  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom where every student feels seen and challenged

  • Track progress, provide constructive feedback, and celebrate achievements

  • Collaborate with a strong Humanities team to develop schemes of work and contribute to whole-school initiatives

  • Play a full role in school life – from CPD to trips, clubs, and beyond


What You’ll Bring

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification

  • A strong grasp of historical knowledge, pedagogy, and assessment at KS3 & KS4

  • Passion for making history relevant, accessible, and exciting

  • A positive classroom presence and confident behaviour management skills

  • A team-first mindset and a willingness to go the extra mile for students and colleagues

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
