History Teacher
Job description
Teaching Personnel are currently working with a Secondary school based in Stoke-on-Trent who are looking for a full-time History Teacher to start in January. The school are looking for an individual who is passionate about the subject and can encourage students to fulfil their learning potential.
About the role:
- Start-date: 5th January
- Ongoing/long-term role
- Teaching across KS3 and GCSE curriculum
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative lessons that explore historical events, cultures, and perspectives. Key responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, formally assessing pupil progress, managing classroom behaviour, and supporting students’ academic growth. Additionally, you will collaborate with colleagues, participate in extra-curricular activities and trips, and maintain up-to-date knowledge the updated curriculum and teaching techniques. Overall, you will inspire curiosity, helping students understand how history shapes the present and future.
What we’re looking for:
- QTS with strong background in History
- Experience teaching across KS3 and GCSE curriculum
- Strong knowledge of the curriculum and current teaching techniques
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both students and staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
