Position: History Teacher

Location: Salisbury

Are you currently seeking your next career move in education?

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a popular school in Salisbury who are looking to recruit a passionate and knowledgeable History teacher to work on a Full-time basis from September, to join their dedicated faculty up until July 2024.

About the role

The successful candidate will ideally be committed to inspiring students into becoming interested in the subject through their love for history and exciting lessons also helping to promote a comprehensive understanding of the past. You will be required to plan, prepare, and deliver interesting lessons based on the given curriculum and subjects to all ages through Key stages, 3, 4 and 5 as well as marking and giving feedback, and preparing the students for exams. Zoom classes will be also be required when applicable.

It is important that the chosen candidate has great innovative thinking skills to bring new ways of learning this subject and topics to the classroom.

Requirements

  • A qualification in teaching (QTS or equivalent)
  • A specialism in History as a subject, or experience in teaching it
  • Great classroom management skills
  • A child only enhanced DBS
  • An overseas police clearance (if applicable)
  • Enthusiasm and passion for promoting an interest and want to learn about the subject in students
  • Ability to adapt the curriculum to all ages and levels to help understanding

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
