Job Opportunity: History Teacher – September 2025 Start
Location: Rochdale
Salary: £30,000 – £47,000 (Dependent on experience)
Are you a passionate and qualified History Teacher seeking a new opportunity this September? If so, we have an exciting role for you at a vibrant, Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ secondary school in North-East Manchester. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome and encouraged to apply.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and engaging educator who can inspire students and make history come alive in the classroom. You will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality lessons, supporting student progress, and contributing to the continued development of the History curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver dynamic and effective History lessons that engage and challenge students of all abilities

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes a love of learning
-
Prepare students for exams and coursework, ensuring they reach their full academic potential

Contribute to the wider school community and curriculum development
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
A degree in History or a related subject

Excellent classroom management and communication skills
-
Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)

Two references covering the last 24 months
-
Availability for interviews and/or trial days

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
