Teaching Personnel are seeking a passionate History teacher to join a dynamic secondary school in Portsmouth from September 2025. This full-time role involves teaching Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that spark curiosity and deepen students' understanding of the world.

The school, part of a respected academy trust, is known for its inclusive ethos, academic ambition, and strong pastoral support. With a broad extracurricular offer—including a thriving Duke of Edinburgh Award programme—it provides a nurturing environment where both staff and students are encouraged to thrive.

As part of a forward-thinking History department, you’ll guide students through a chronological curriculum that explores key events from early migration to 20th-century conflict. The programme develops critical thinking, source analysis, and debate skills, while fostering empathy and cultural awareness. Lessons are designed to connect with wider school values and other subjects, helping students become thoughtful, independent learners.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
