History Teacher – South Manchester – Full-Time – September 2025 Start
Teaching Personnel is proud to partner with a high-achieving secondary school in South Manchester to appoint a qualified History Teacher to join their Humanities department from September 2025 on a full-time basis.

Role Overview:

Deliver engaging History lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 (Years 7–11), following the AQA specification.

Teach a range of historical periods and themes, including the Norman Conquest, Industrial Britain, World Wars, and the Cold War.

Prepare Year 11 students for GCSE examinations, using data and formative assessment to identify and close gaps.

Contribute to curriculum enrichment through trips, clubs, or themed days (e.g., Remembrance, Black History Month).

Maintain a strong classroom presence with well-established routines and clear behaviour expectations.

Person Specification:

Holds QTS and a degree in History or a related discipline.

Proven experience teaching History to KS3 and KS4 in a UK secondary school.

Strong behaviour management and a commitment to inclusive teaching.

A reflective practitioner who enjoys collaborating and sharing best practice.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
