Job description

Are you a qualified History Teacher looking for a new role in September 2025? If so, this may be the job for you. An exciting new opportunity has arisen at an Ofsted ‘good’ rated secondary school in the North-East Manchester area for an enthusiastic and engaging History teacher. ECTs are encouraged to apply.

As a History Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality geography education to students. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to the development of the History curriculum. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Historical concepts and an enthusiasm for teaching that motivates and engages students.

Responsibilities:

  • Be passionate and creative to achieve a level of understanding in the classroom which will increase the pupil’s knowledge.
  • Cultivate an environment of learning which will have a positive impact on a new generation for years to come.
  • Prepare students for their exams and coursework in order to get them the best possible grade.

  • A salary of £30,000 - £47,000 based on experience.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced Childcare DBS on the Update Service
  • References to cover the last 24 months
  • Available for Interviews/Trial Days
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
