History Teacher – Derbyshire
Location: Derbyshire and surrounding areas
Daily Rate: £162 – £251 (depending on experience and assignment)

Teaching Personnel is proud to be working with a number of excellent secondary schools across Derbyshire who are seeking talented History specialists to join their teams and inspire the next generation.

The Role:
We are seeking qualified History Teachers to deliver outstanding lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (with opportunities to teach KS5 in some schools). You will help students to develop a deep understanding of the past while building key analytical and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated History lessons

  • Assessing and tracking student progress to drive achievement

  • Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment

  • Contributing to the wider school community and departmental activities

  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for History

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills

  • The ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
