A dynamic and welcoming mainstream secondary school in Coventry (CV7) is seeking an enthusiastic and confident History Teacher to join the Humanities department from September 2025 for the new academic year.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position teaching History across Key Stages 3 and 4. You’ll be working in a vibrant, well-resourced school with a supportive leadership team and a focus on high-quality teaching and learning. The ideal candidate will also have the flexibility to teach other subjects across the humanities curriculum if required.

‍ The Ideal Candidate Will:

Be a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with strong subject knowledge in History

Have experience teaching in UK secondary schools

Be confident, engaging, and able to build strong relationships with students

Have a deep understanding of the UK National Curriculum for History

Demonstrate strong behaviour management strategies

Be skilled in differentiating lessons to support pupils of all abilities

Ideally have experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Hold a full enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service

A bubbly and confident classroom presence

A genuine passion for teaching and inspiring young minds

Flexibility to teach across the wider Humanities curriculum is a plus
