History Teacher – September 2025 Start
Location: Bournemouth, Dorset
Contract Type: Full-time | Long-term (with potential for permanent placement)
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £30,000 – £46,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Are you an inspiring and knowledgeable History Teacher looking for a new opportunity in September 2025? Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a successful mainstream secondary school in Bournemouth to recruit a passionate History specialist to join their humanities department.
The Role:

Deliver engaging and challenging History lessons across KS3 and KS4
-
Plan, mark and assess in line with national curriculum expectations

Contribute to the wider school community and department initiatives
-
Support students of all abilities to achieve academic success
The Ideal Candidate Will:
-
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
Have recent experience teaching History in UK secondary schools
-
Possess strong classroom and behaviour management skills
-
Be committed, enthusiastic, and ready to contribute to school life
-
Hold a child workforce Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
