As a History Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering captivating lessons that bring history to life and captivate student’s interest.
• Nurturing a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to express their ideas and explore historical concepts.
• Designing creative assessments and providing constructive feedback to guide students' progress and achievement.
• Collaborating with colleagues to develop innovative teaching resources and strategies.
• Encouraging students to think critically, analyse primary and secondary sources, and develop a deep understanding of historical events and themes.
• Organizing educational visits, trips, and events to enhance student’s learning experiences.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and qualities:

• Hold a relevant degree in History or a related field, along with qualified teacher status (QTS).
• Demonstrate a genuine passion for history and a thorough knowledge of the subject, including different historical periods and civilizations.
• Have experience planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
• Foster positive relationships with students, creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, contributing to the development of the department and its curriculum.
• Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
