Are you a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher seeking an exciting opportunity to inspire young minds? Look no further! We are thrilled to announce a full-time and permanent position for a History Teacher starting this October in the historic town of Blandford Forum.
- Position: History Teacher
- Location: Blandford Forum
- Start Date: Full-Time, Permanent
- Salary: M1 – UPS3
As a History Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering captivating lessons that bring history to life and captivate student’s interest.
- Nurturing a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to express their ideas and explore historical concepts.
- Designing creative assessments and providing constructive feedback to guide students' progress and achievement.
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop innovative teaching resources and strategies.
- Encouraging students to think critically, analyse primary and secondary sources, and develop a deep understanding of historical events and themes.
- Organizing educational visits, trips, and events to enhance student’s learning experiences.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and qualities:
- Hold a relevant degree in History or a related field, along with qualified teacher status (QTS).
- Demonstrate a genuine passion for history and a thorough knowledge of the subject, including different historical periods and civilizations.
- Have experience planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Foster positive relationships with students, creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, contributing to the development of the department and its curriculum.
- Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
