History Teacher

Key stages: Key stage 3, Key stage 4

Subject: History

Working pattern: Part-time, Monday - Wednesday

Contract type: Temporary, initially until Easter with the potential to extend depending on the successful candidates performance

An Ofsted rated “outstanding” secondary school in Blackburn are seeking an experienced History Teacher to join their solid Humanities department.

The successful candidate will join a skillful and resourceful staffing team, who dedicate their time and resources to ensuring all students have the opportunity to reach their maximum potential. You will plan and prepare creative and interactive lessons, encouraging students of all learning abilities to be thoroughly engaged with this subject.

The successful History Teacher will

  • Have excellent behaviour and classroom management skills
  • Be able to work productively and cooperatively as part of a school team
  • Be available Monday – Wednesday, but full-time availability would also be ideal should this post extend to full-time
  • Receive competitive weekly pay, which ties in line with the main pay scale
