History Teacher – Full Time, Term-Time Only


Location: Mainstream Secondary School, Birmingham, B37

Start Date: September 2025

Salary: To scale (MPS/UPS)

We are seeking a passionate and skilled History Teacher to join our fantastic mainstream secondary school in the B37 area of Birmingham. This full-time, term-time only position offers an exciting opportunity to teach pupils from Years 7 to 11, with the possibility to teach A-Level History if confident and able.

 

Key Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Recent, successful experience teaching History in UK secondary schools

ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply

Ability to plan and mark pupil work across Years 7-11

Confidence and ability to teach A-Level History is advantageous

Strong subject knowledge & the confidence to deliver subjects across the wider humanities curriculum

Commitment to safeguarding and adherence to school policies and procedures
