Do you have a degree, or are in the process of completing your degree in History and wish to pursue a career in secondary teaching in the future?
Are you seeking invaluable experience in the new academic year (or sooner) in order to enhance a future teacher training application?
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a large secondary school in the North Manchester area to recruit for an aspiring History teacher to join the 'Future Teachers Programme' in September 2019. This programme will be offered on a full-time basis for the full academic year 2019/2020 and will incorporate supporting History teachers within History lessons across Key Stage Three and Key Stage Four, providing intervention to identified pupils and learning how to deliver lessons within History.
*Previous experience working with children and young people is desired for this position, but not essential as relevant training and CPD will be incorporated.*
This position commences in September 2019, however if you are available prior to this, Teaching Personnel can provide you with work in secondary schools before the programme begins.
- Full-time History Graduate required, Future Teachers Programme commencing in September 2019.
- Opportunity to secure work prior to the programme starting.
- Earn up to £1200 per month and secure invaluable experience prior to completing teacher training.
- Large secondary school located near to North Manchester, accessible via the M60 motorway.
The Future Teachers Programme was trialled this academic year, and 100% of Graduates who applied for teacher training for next academic year have secured a place.
Situated near to the Blackley area of North Manchester, our partner secondary school can be accessed via the M60 motorway. For those without transportation, there are a number of public transport links that lead to the school from neighbouring areas Rochdale, Oldham and central Manchester.
All History Graduates and final year History students who wish to secure a position onto the Future Teachers Programme are urged to submit a full CV to Nicola Pollitt. Further information can be obtained by calling the Manchester West Secondary Office via the contact details provided below;
