Are you a graduate looking for a route into Teaching? We might have the perfect role for you!
Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a HLTA to work in a South Sheffield School. We are looking for someone who can commit full time, but we would consider a job share for the right candidate. We are looking for someone flexible, who can cover across year groups (this could be from EYFS to Y6). The role will involve supporting the class teacher in the morning within the classroom, then delivering lessons in the afternoon. It is not essential that you have previous experience covering classes, as we can support you with shadow days and voluntary days to build up your experience. You may work 1:1 with children or take small groups as well as covering the whole class.
Knowledge of various phonics schemes and assessments would be advantageous, but not essential if you are willing to attend training courses. We offer a range of courses through our CPD Academy, including Read Write Inc. and Team Teach.
This role is ideal if you are a Teaching Assistant in school and are looking to upskill, or if you are a graduate looking for a route into Teaching. We can offer temporary positions or longer term placements. For the right candidate their will be the opportunity to go onto the school's contract.
Teaching Personnel can offer you:
- a dedicated consultant
- work in schools who are exclusive with Teaching Personnel
- flexible work that fits around you and your existing commitments
- access to our CPD Academy offering a range of courses
- support with interviews and permanent posts
If this sounds like the role for you, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
