Lead, Support, Inspire – HLTA (SEMH Experience) 

Are you a skilled and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with experience in Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) support?

If you're looking to take the next step in your education career, this could be your ideal opportunity.

We’re recruiting for a HLTA to join a group of specialist schools in Salisbury, supporting students aged 3 to 19 with a wide range of complex needs.

This is a part-time role beginning in September 2025, with the potential to start earlier in a part-time or full-time capacity. The working hours are 8.30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver planned learning under teacher direction – and lead small group sessions

  • Provide targeted emotional and behavioural support

  • Support EHCP outcomes with creativity and consistency

  • Mentor pupils in developing social, communication, and life skills

 

What We're Looking For:

  • HLTA qualification (or equivalent) with SEMH experience

  • Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills

  • Adaptability, patience, and confidence in challenging situations

  • A commitment to making a lasting impact on young lives

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
