Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Ringwood

Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and development? We are looking for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming and nurturing school in Ringwood.

This is a full-time role working with pupils aged 5 to 11, Monday to Friday, 8.45am to 4.45pm.

Your Role

As a HLTA, you will:

  • Support teaching and learning across the primary age range.

  • Lead small group sessions and deliver planned learning activities.

  • Work closely with teachers to adapt resources and approaches to meet individual needs.

  • Help create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Support children in developing both academic skills and social confidence.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience supporting children in an educational setting.

  • A positive, resilient, and adaptable approach to challenges.

  • The ability to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff.

  • HLTA status is desirable but not essential if you have relevant experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
