Are you an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)? This full-time opportunity allows you to work as a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant within a supportive Year 6 setting in a welcoming primary school in Huyton.

This position is ideal for ECTs hoping to build confidence, enhance practical teaching skills, and make a meaningful difference to pupils during the crucial final year of primary school.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead the class in the teacher’s absence, delivering pre-planned lessons primarily in Year 6, with some flexibility across KS2 when required.
  • Provide tailored support to pupils with additional needs through one-to-one and small group interventions.
  • Assist with planning, preparation, and strategies aimed at raising attainment in a key SATs year.
  • Help maintain an inclusive, positive, and engaging learning environment for all pupils.

What We’re Looking For

  • A qualified ECT or holder of a HLTA qualification.
  • A confident and adaptable individual with strong classroom presence.
  • A passion for supporting pupils with diverse learning and emotional needs.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork skills, and a proactive approach.
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply through Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
