Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Are you an experienced and enthusiastic HLTA looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people with additional needs?
A specialist school in Devizes is seeking a committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025, with the possibility of an earlier start for the right candidate.
This is a full-time role working with students aged 7 to 16, many of whom face social, emotional, and behavioural challenges, as well as Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC).
You’ll play a key role in supporting learning, managing behaviour, and promoting positive progress across the curriculum.
Your Role Will Involve:

Leading and delivering learning activities across key stages
-
Supporting students with ASC and behavioural barriers to engage in meaningful learning
-
Assisting teachers with planning, assessment, and classroom management
-
Promoting independence, emotional resilience, and self-regulation
-
Working collaboratively with staff, parents, and specialists to support individual needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
