We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated team and make a real difference in the lives of our pupils across KS1 and KS2.

Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Burnley
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £14.50 - £15 per hour
Start Date: Monday 3^rd November 2025

The Role

As a HLTA, you will:

-          Support teaching and learning across the school, working with individuals, small groups, and whole classes.

-          Lead planned learning activities under the guidance of teachers.

-          Cover classes in the teacher’s absence, ensuring continuity of learning.

-          Provide targeted interventions to help pupils make progress.

-          Support the wider school community and contribute to the life of the school.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

-          Holds HLTA status (or equivalent qualification/experience).

-          Has proven experience working with primary-aged children.

-          Can demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills.

-          Is adaptable, resilient, and committed to helping every child achieve their best.

-          Works well as part of a team and can use their initiative when required.
