Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Are you an experienced HLTA looking for your next challenge in a supportive and forward-thinking primary school? We are working in partnership with a vibrant, inclusive school in Bolton that is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong classroom skills, a passion for education, and a desire to help raise attainment across the school. If you thrive when working with children and are confident delivering lessons in the teacher's absence, this could be the perfect role for you.
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering engaging, pre-planned lessons to whole classes across KS1 and/or KS2 when needed
- Supporting learning activities under the direction of the class teacher and SLT
- Leading small group interventions to support pupil progress
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages pupil engagement
- Assisting with planning and assessment as needed
What we’re looking for:
- HLTA status or equivalent qualification
- Experience delivering lessons independently
- A strong understanding of the national curriculum
- Excellent communication skills and classroom presence
- A flexible and proactive approach to supporting learning across year groups

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
