Higher Learning Teaching Assistant
South East Wales

GBP10.00 - GBP13.00 per hour
Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Higher Learning Teaching Assistant to work in Welsh Medium Primary Schools in the South East Wales are. You will be expected to provide intervention support for groups of pupils within both key stages and deliver pre-planned lessons to certain age groups. Previous experience as a Higher Learning Teaching Assistant would be preferred.
*To be considered for this role, you will need to be Level 4/Level 5 qualified and must be able to communicate effectively through the medium of welsh.*
The ideal candidate is somebody who:
- Has relevant experience in a childcare and/or classroom environment.
- Strong behavioural management or experience working with challenging children.
- Is able to be adaptable to various circumstances.
- Positive, patient and energetic.
- The passion to make a real difference.
Applicants must :
- Have the legal right to work in the UK
- Hold a Child Workforce Only DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one - full assistance provided)
- Be registered with the Education Workforce Council (compulsory requirement in Wales) - please note that if you are living in England, you can still register with the EWC which will give you the opportunity to work on both sides of the border
- Provide at least two professional or character references
- Be available to interview and/or trial asap
