Job Title: High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Luton
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full Time (8:30am – 3:30pm, Term-Time Only)
Contract Length: Initially 1 term (Autumn Term) – potential for extension in the new year
Day Rate: £95 – £115 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

A welcoming and well-organised primary school in Luton is on the hunt for a High Level Teaching Assistant to join their team for the Autumn Term. This full-time role is ideal for someone confident in delivering learning across the curriculum and providing high-quality classroom support.
You’ll take the lead on interventions, classroom cover, and supporting learning across different year groups, making this a varied and rewarding position. If you're ready to take on more responsibility and thrive in a collaborative school environment – this is the perfect opportunity.
Main Responsibilities:
- Step in to lead classes when required, following provided lesson plans
- Support pupil progress through targeted group work and interventions
- Work in partnership with teachers to plan and assess pupil learning
- Support behaviour, engagement, and routines across the school day
- Promote inclusive practice and ensure every child feels supported

- HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience and confidence leading learning)
- Ability to deliver lessons independently with professionalism and care
- Adaptability to support different year groups and needs
- A strong communicator with a calm, proactive approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
