Inspire Change. Lead Progress. Empower the Future.

Are you passionate about transforming the lives of disengaged young people? Do you have the drive and experience to lead a small but impactful educational provision? We’re seeking an experienced and dedicated leader to become Head of School (Alternative Provision) in Liverpool.

About the Organisation:

This role sits within a well-established network of OFSTED-regulated independent schools across the UK, supported by a larger education and training group. United by a mission to innovate and inspire, the group provides high-quality, purposeful learning experiences.

With growing facilities in Liverpool, we're looking for a dynamic leader to foster a nurturing environment where students can thrive—someone who understands the needs of learners requiring additional support to achieve positive outcomes.

Role Overview:

You’ll lead the day-to-day operations of our Liverpool provision, including a nearby satellite site. Working closely with another local Head of School, you’ll ensure both centres run smoothly and consistently.

You'll be a visible, proactive leader and a key ambassador, helping students reintegrate into mainstream education or transition into further education and vocational pathways.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop staff to meet educational and behavioural standards

  • Oversee the curriculum and ensure compliance with Independent School Standards

  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment

  • Represent the school within the wider community

  • Champion safeguarding, equality, and high expectations for all

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience (e.g., SLT, Head of Department, Headteacher) in a similar setting

  • Degree in a relevant field plus QTS, QTLS, or equivalent

  • Track record of improving student outcomes

  • Strong knowledge of compliance and educational standards

Desirable:

  • NPQH (completed or in progress)
