Lead Music Education Across Key Stage 3 and 4

About the Role:
- Full-time, permanent leadership post with Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR)
- Lead the Music curriculum across Key Stage 3 and 4
- Work closely with the Head of Performing Arts and senior leaders
- Manage a successful GCSE programme (Music and Music Technology)
- Oversee a team of peripatetic staff and deliver vibrant enrichment opportunities
- Support school concerts, national performances, and large-scale productions

What We’re Looking For:
- A passionate, qualified teacher of Music with strong subject knowledge
- A commitment to high-quality teaching and curriculum development
- An inspirational leader with the ability to motivate staff and students alike
- Experience delivering Music or Music Technology at Key Stage 4 (desirable)
- Strong musical ability – piano skills and/or experience with choirs or vocal groups is a plus
- A collaborative team player who enjoys a fast-paced, dynamic environment
What You’ll Be Leading:
- Delivery of a broad and engaging Music curriculum from Year 7–11
- Oversight of GCSE cohorts in both Music and Music Technology
- Organisation of extra-curricular clubs, ensembles, school productions, and public performances
- Partnership with the local community and national music events (e.g., Voice in a Million)
- Instrumental tuition coordination and scholarship programme management

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
