Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR (depending on experience)
Are you a passionate and experienced Drama teacher ready to take the next step in your career? We are seeking an inspiring and creative Head of Drama to lead a thriving department in our vibrant and inclusive secondary school.
The Role:
As Head of Drama, you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of a dynamic and engaging drama curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially KS5). You will play a key role in promoting a love for performance, creativity, and expression, while maintaining high academic and behavioural standards within your subject area.
What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
Strong track record of teaching Drama at secondary level
-
Experience in leading, planning, and delivering high-quality productions and performances
-
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
-
A collaborative leader who can inspire students and staff alike
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Drama department, including curriculum design, assessment, and enrichment

Mentor and support other Drama staff and contribute to whole-school initiatives
-
Organise school productions, extracurricular drama clubs, and performance opportunities
-
Monitor student progress and maintain high achievement outcomes

Collaborate across departments to embed creativity throughout the school
