Exciting Opportunity: Head of Chemistry Teacher Role in Wakefield School

Are you a dedicated and experienced Chemistry Teacher looking to take the next step in your career? We are thrilled to present an outstanding opportunity to join a prestigious school in Wakefield as the Head of Chemistry.

Position: Head of Chemistry Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire Start Date: 4th September 2023 Contract: Permanent Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR (Teacher Leadership Responsibility)

Role and Responsibilities: As the Head of Chemistry, you will be a key leader within the Science department. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the Chemistry department and ensuring the delivery of high-quality lessons.
  • Developing an engaging and dynamic Chemistry curriculum.
  • Providing guidance and support to Chemistry teachers and students.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and educational outcomes.
  • Contributing to the school's extracurricular activities and academic enrichment programs.
  • Cultivating a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the Chemistry department.

Qualifications and Requirements: To excel in this role, you will need:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Subject specialism in Chemistry.
  • Proven experience in teaching Chemistry and a track record of academic success.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Dedication to ongoing professional development and staying current with educational advancements.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
