We have partnered with a Rochdale Secondary School and seeking graduates to join our Graduate Tutor Programme.

You will need to be a Maths, English or Science graduate and be able to tutor across KS3 and KS4. Prior experience tutoring is essential for this role.

You will work full-time in school hours (08:20 – 15:10) supporting small groups from 1:1 up to groups of 4. The successful candidate will meet with the students who struggle with parts of the curriculum and support them in developing their subject knowledge with engaging related activities.

This is a great opportunity for those aiming to become a future teacher, and those wanting to gain additional school experience.

This is a 1-year tutoring position starting this October 2023 until July 2024. The school is easily accessible with public transport routes to and from the school and on-site parking for all staff.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting students in their learning, enabling them to understand new concepts
  • Set goals for them to work towards
  • Hold a positive relationship with students
  • Ability to work with students of different learning abilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
