Graduate Teaching Internship

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Graduates of Maths, English, Science, Humanities and Languages for our Graduate Teaching Internship.

The programme is designed to support recent graduates who are considering a career in teaching and wish to gain practical paid work experience in schools prior to enrolling in formal Teacher Training.

Successful graduates will be introduced to a local secondary school and will work as a subject specialist Teaching Assistant for one academic year. All graduates will have the opportunity to work alongside class teachers and will cover full lessons to build confidence in the classroom.

Working as a Teaching Assistant, graduates will undertake a number of roles and responsibilities including:

• Offering in class support to students across years 7-11
• Supporting pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
• Covering lessons with pre-set wok in the absence of the class teacher
• Working directly alongside the class teacher to develop lesson plans and activities

To apply to our Graduate Teaching Internship, all applicants must have a degree in Maths, English, Science, Humanities or Languages and must be available Monday – Friday, 8:30am  - 3pm.

All applicants must also be eligible to apply for a Child Workforce Enhanced DBS and will be able to provide two references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
