Graduate Teaching Assistant required in Farnworth

Are you a Psychology Graduate looking to gain experience within a school located in the Farnworth area? Do you have a passion for supporting pupils? Are you looking to make a difference in pupils learning journeys?

If so a larger than average primary school, which has been graded outstanding by Ofsted and described as a beacon of hope, area is currently looking to appoint a graduate teaching assistant to support pupils within their year 3 class. Pupils within the class have some behavioural needs and have difficulties building relationships with others. The role would be to start from September 2019 and would be for 35 hours a week.

A successful applicant should:

  • Hold either an educational or psychological degree
  • Have experience working with pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis
  • Have a caring and understanding nature
  • Be approachable
  • Have strong communication skills and be able to work well as part of a team
  • Be experienced or have techniques in order to support pupils with behavioural difficulties
  • Be adaptable
  • Be able to support the school ethos and be able to become part of a strong supportive team
