Teaching Assistant

Opportunity to provide focused support for pupils aged 11-16 within an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ secondary school in Bury.

• Full-time Teaching Assistant.
• Immediate start until the end of the academic year.
• Ensuring class teachers have the support they require both inside and outside the classroom.
• Supporting pupils in both mainstream classrooms and within the SEN department.
• Must have transferrable experience to work within an educational setting.
• Any specific experience with Special Educational Needs is desirable.

Our client school is known for its welcoming staff community. The school has recently incorporated a new SEN department to support pupils with additional learning needs and SEN. This department includes specifically designed facilities and equipment for students with SEN to support them in reaching their targets. Most of the work involved will be working with students in small groups however; they may also be some 1:1 work for those pupils who need specific types of support.

Our client secondary school is based in Bury; close by to the town centre with excellent links to public transport from surrounding areas such as Bolton, Prestwich and Whitefield. The school is also accessible via the M62 and A56 from surrounding areas of Bury including central Manchester.
