Are you a recent graduate considering a career in teaching? An outstanding secondary school in Wigan is seeking multiple Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their team and support pupils across a range of subjects.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable, hands-on experience in a supportive school environment before committing to teacher training. You will initially work as a Teaching Assistant and Cover Supervisor, building your confidence, classroom presence, and understanding of school life.

The role:

• Supporting students across KS3 and KS4 in a variety of subjects
• Delivering pre-set lessons as a Cover Supervisor when required
• Working closely with experienced teachers and senior staff
• Gaining practical classroom experience ahead of potential teacher training

The ideal candidate:

• A degree in any subject
• A strong interest in pursuing a career in teaching
• Confident, adaptable, and proactive
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
