Graduate Teaching Assistant – Wigan Secondary Schools

Are you a recent graduate looking to gain meaningful experience in education? We’re working with several supportive and high-achieving secondary schools in Wigan that are offering opportunities for Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their teams from September.
This is a fantastic way to build up classroom experience in a paid role, while developing the skills and confidence to take on full class cover as a Cover Supervisor – a role that comes with higher pay and training included.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Supporting pupils in lessons across a range of subjects

Working closely with students who need extra academic or emotional help
-
Helping staff with classroom routines, displays, and learning resources

Building rapport with students and acting as a positive role model

Developing your classroom presence to step into a Cover Supervisor role

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
