Graduate Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistants to join one of our client secondary schools based in Old Trafford. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning within the school, working closely with both students and teachers.

This role will start in September, in line with the new academic year, and run full-time until the end of the academic year (July 2027). The working hours are 8am until 4pm Monday to Friday.

We encourage graduates wanting to gain experience prior to starting a PGCE to apply. Depending on how a successful candidate gets on in school, they may be welcomed back to complete one of their placements within the school while doing teacher training.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting various departments in planning and delivering engaging lessons
• Providing one-on-one support to students who require additional help
• Conducting small group activities to reinforce learning objectives
• Marking and providing constructive feedback on student work
• Supporting students in developing their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills
• Promoting a positive learning environment within the classroom
• Collaborating with teachers to create resources and materials for lessons

Requirements:

• A degree in any subject
• Previous experience working with secondary school students is beneficial
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for education and a desire to make a positive impact on students' lives
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
