Have you recently graduated and are looking to build your experience in an education role?
Teaching Personnel are currently working with a secondary Pupil Referral Unit in Manchester to find full-time teaching assistants. The school is committed to providing an inclusive and nurturing learning environment for KS3 and KS4 students that are outside of mainstream education for various social, emotional and mental health needs.
Responsibilities within the role:
- Working closely with students to provide tailored assistance to meet individual learning needs
- Collaborate with other teachers to assess progress of students and plan lessons accordingly
- Assist in the delivery of lessons designed to enhance students’ academic, social and emotional development
- Provide behaviour support throughout the school day to de-escalate and manage challenging behaviour
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive plans of support for each student
Experience and qualities needed for role
- Experience working with students of a secondary age in an education setting
- Experience working with challenging behaviour
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with other support staff and teachers
- Passion for education and desire to make a positive impact

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
