A mixed secondary school located in the central Manchester area is seeking to appoint a confident and approachable graduate to support in their school. The successful graduate will be fulfilling the role of a Teaching Assistant supporting and assisting within the classroom working with students in a variety of subjects. There is an open vacancy within the school’s support department for a teaching assistant, therefore presenting a fantastic opportunity for a graduate to work at this supportive secondary school.
This Graduate Teaching Assistant role is for the duration of the remainder of the academic year with the successfully appointed graduate having the opportunity to support in a variety of subjects, across the age range and with full classes, small groups and on a 1:1 basis. This will give you the chance to gain experience in all aspects of teaching. This is a position to start upon schools reopening following the February half term.
This role is ideal for a graduate who is considering undertaking a PGCE in the future or for graduates who want more experience within a school setting. The successful graduate will have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience working with teachers and support staff alike, collaborating and working with them to get the best out of all students being supported. If you are a graduate from any degree background looking into an education based career then apply now to be considered for this full time teaching assistant position.
Highlights of this Graduate Teaching Assistant position:
- Pay between GBP1250 - GBP1350 per month, depending on previous experience
- Ideal experience to support a PGCE application
- Full time position available as well as the possibility of part time positions
- Supportive secondary school easily accessible via public transportation links
- Graduates of any background are welcome to apply – including Psychology, Maths, English, Science or any other subject
The school being located in the central Manchester area is very easily accessible for any graduate living in the nearby area. The school is well serviced by public transport and for those that drive, the school has a large on-site secure car park. The support team and entire senior leadership is highly supportive with the school regularly supporting graduates looking for a future role as a teacher.
With opportunity to provide intervention or support students who require it the most, this role will allow the successful graduate to gain the necessary experience to support a future PGCE application or allow them to be involved and gain understanding of the education sector.
If you are a graduate of a specific subject, and have the desire to work in the education sector, then apply now for further information on how this school can support your specific interests.
