Graduate Teaching Assistant

  • The position: Teaching Assistant
  • Salary: Earn GBP60-65 per day

Teaching Personnel working closely with schools across Bristol and Bath, recruiting proactive graduates to support the wellbeing and learning of students. There are both flexible and full-time roles that provide the opportunity to gain experience and training.

There are roles for graduates from all degree subjects. Core subjects such as Maths, Science and English grads are often excellent academic tutors and ideal for catch-up tuition. Sport, Music and Drama grads are great communicators and confident. Social Science graduates from Education, Psychology, Sociology and Criminology etc are great for working with behaviour and understanding the theory behind SEMH and emotional support.

The Schools:

  • Welcoming and supportive schools and staff
  • Additional training and specific department funding
  • Looking for active graduates to support students with a range of roles

The ideal candidate:

Will –

  • Support students’ learning and wellbeing as the schools have now reopened
  • Clearly communicate progress and developments with staff and students
  • Have a passion for education and helping others

Must –

  • Having experience working with KS3/4 children and SEN (not necessarily in a classroom) is desirable
  • The right to work within the UK and the ability to provide two references from your most recent employers
  • All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid child workforce Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
