Are you a Graduate with any specialism wishing to pursue a career in secondary teaching? Are you seeking to gain experience within a secondary school setting before embarking upon a PGCE/teacher training programme?
Teaching Personnel are working closely with secondary schools within the Bolton LEA and due to an increased demand for Graduate Teaching Assistants this academic year, we want to hear from you.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant you will be expected to:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils during lesson times.
- Support the class teacher within lessons, promoting positive behaviour.
- Cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher with pre-planned work.
- Build experience to enhance future teacher training applications.
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for Graduates that are looking for ad-hoc (flexible day to day) work, part-time and full-time positions, so there is a position available to suit your availability. You will have access to an online diary to update availability and will be able to change work preferences if your situation changes. In order to further develop skills, you will also have access to a range of CPD courses including; Effective Behaviour Management, Progress 8 and Differentiation.
In order to be considered for the Graduate Teaching Assistant positions in Bolton, previous experience working with children and young people is required. This can either be in a Teaching Assistant, tuition or other supportive capacity.
- Full-time, part-time and flexible working hours available depending upon your availability.
- Earn up to £1200 per month depending upon previous experiences.
- Access to CPD and additional training courses.
- Weekly pay.
The secondary schools within the Bolton LEA range from faith schools, Academies, outstanding graded schools and more challenging environments. It is beneficial if you have access to a car, however most areas of Bolton can easily be accessed via public transportation. Bolton is accessible via the M61 motorway, and can be reached from Bury, Chorley and Wigan.
