Are you a recent University Graduate wishing to embark upon a secondary teacher training programme in the future?

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a large Secondary academy in Bolton who wish to recruit a number of Graduate Teaching Assistants to join their support team in the new academic year (September 2019).

This position is perfect for a recent Graduate who is hoping for a future career in Secondary teaching, as it will provide experience before entering into a teacher training programme.

• Full-time and part-time Graduate positions available for September 2019
• Graduates of all subjects are welcome to apply for this position
• Working alongside the class teacher, and supporting students in classes
• Must be comfortable working with children whose first language is not English
• Covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher
• Gain invaluable experience prior to beginning teacher training/PGCE
• Dependent on previous experience, earn up to £300 per week

With over 900 pupils, the school is in need of extra staff to guarantee students are supported and that teachers also have the help they require in the classroom. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant within our client school, responsibilities will include working 1:1 with identified pupils that require additional support within certain subject areas. Further responsibilities incorporate supporting the class teacher, covering lessons in the absence of the teacher and delivering intervention sessions to raise overall pupil attainment. Applicants will require being comfortable working with children where English is not their first language. This experience will enhance future teacher training applications, and could result in a direct placement with the client school.

Located in the Bolton area, our client school can be accessed via the M61 and A676. For non-drivers, there are forms of public transportation with links to the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester.
