Graduate Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a large secondary school that is located in the Bolton area to appoint a full-time Graduate Teaching Assistant (Focused in English.)

The Headteacher at our client secondary school is seeking to recruit a full-time Graduate Teaching Assistant (English) to provide specialist support to identified students that will complement the professional work of teachers in the English Department.

This is a wonderful opportunity to join a supportive secondary school and make a significant contribution to the educational outcomes for students at a crucial stage of their education.

The incoming Graduate Teaching Assistant will be required to support identified students in both 1:1 and small group settings on the lead up to key GCSE exams. In addition to the specialist support that you will provide to students their may also be opportunities for you to deliver cover lessons in the absence of the main classroom teacher. This will be fully supported by the main classroom teacher and is perfect experience if considering a teacher training course in the future.

The school seeking to appoint for this role is average in size compared to other secondary schools in the Bolton area. The proportion of pupils from a minority ethnic background is well above average, as is the proportion of boys. The proportion who speak English as an additional language is also well above average.

The school is located on the Outskirts of Bolton and easily access it with a short drive from the M61. The school is in an ideal location if you are a user of public transport and can be easily accessed from surrounding areas Bury, Salford Wigan and Manchester.
