Are you a recent Graduate seeking a way into a career in Education? Would you like to support students in Secondary schools as a Teaching Assistant? I would like to hear from you!
Teaching Personnel Bristol is currently recruiting graduates for a number of Teaching Assistant positions in schools across Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
Whether you are thinking of completing a PGCE in the future and would like to gain prior experience to make your PGCE application stand out or perhaps you would just like to ensure this is the right path for you, the experience you can gain working in schools as a Teaching Assistant is invaluable!
About the roles:
The roles available are both full time and part time.
(If you are seeking part time work you must be available a minimum of 3 days a week)
The pay rate for a Teaching Assistant varies between £54-65 a day dependant on the role and your experience.
Working as a Teaching Assistant you will undertake a number of roles and responsibilities:
- You may work 1:1 offering support to a student with Special Educational Needs
- Working with small groups of students you could provide academic support such as helping with their English and Maths
- You may undertake the role of a general Teaching Assistant and help within the classroom offering support to all pupils.
- Some pupils may have Behavioural Difficulties and need you to act as a Behaviour Mentor.
If you have any experience of working with children or adults with Special Educational Needs (SEN) then please let me know as I would love to talk to you about some more SEN specific roles we have available.
Requirements:
- You must have a degree - this does not need to be any subject specific, however we are particularly keen to hear from you if you studied English, Maths, Science or Psychology based subjects.
- No prior experience working in schools is necessary (Some experience working with children in some capacity is desirable)
- You must be available on weekdays - there are no weekend roles available.
Benefits of working as a Teaching Assistant with Teaching Personnel:
- Our relationships with local schools provide access to a wealth of teaching opportunities in Primary, Secondary and SEN schools.
- You will have your very own specialist Recruitment Consultant dedicated to finding you work.
- Access to our CPD academy - numerous courses to help your learning development such as Team Teach.
- Competitive pay rate - we care about all our teachers and so ensure we offer you a fair and competitive rate.
- Flexibility - One extremely useful benefit of securing your long term role through us is that it allows you to go into a school and decide whether it is the right one for you before fully committing to the entire academic year
- Refer a Friend Scheme - financial benefits for every friend that joins us
- Weekly Pay - you will be paid weekly directly into your bank account
If this is a role that interests you then please apply with your CV. I look forward to hearing from you.
