Graduate Teaching Assistant - Altrincham

Are you Graduating this year and looking to gain experience in schools?

Teaching Personnel are the leading recruitment agency for Education covering England and Wales. Our Manchester secondary office is located in Manchester city centre and services the majority of secondary schools in Greater Manchester. The client secondary school is located in Altrincham and is seeking graduates to join their cover and support teams within their high achieving school, in cover supervisor and Teaching Assistant roles.

The TA role will involve supporting pupils both in and out of classroom. You will be working with pupils on a 1:1 basis within the classroom, helping with work and general support. In addition, you will be delivering work to smaller groups of pupils providing intervention in your subject specialism.

As a cover supervisor, you will be covering and delivering pre planned lessons in the absence of the teacher. When cover in not needed, you will be working with pupils on a small group and 1:1 basis, providing support and intervention in your subject specialist area.

  • Cover Supervisor and Teaching Assistant roles available
  • Starting after Easter, continuing for the summer term initially, with the possibility to extend
  • Pay rate £250 - £300 per week

The secondary school is located in the rural Manchester suburb of Altrincham, and is located in pleasant grounds, creating a peaceful learning environment for pupils. The school offers a broad and varied curriculum so pupils can develop as individuals and find their passions. The is also an opportunity for teachers to share their extra curricular interests with pupils.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
