Job description

Job Title: Graduate Teacher

Our Future Teacher Programme lets you fully explore a career in education before committing to Initial Teacher Training.

We provide paid placements in schools and start a journey that can ultimately lead to qualified teacher status and a career that changes lives.  

The Future Teacher programme consists of placement within a secondary setting for an academic year, during this placement you will act as a Cover Supervisor and gain classroom experience.

You will be assigned a mentor within your chosen subject, who you will shadow and receive support from throughout the year. You will also receive additional training modules specificity aimed at supporting graduates prior to taking on there teaching training.

At the end of the academic year you will be invited to join your school or an alternative school within the trust for the teacher training programme.

Job Duties/Description:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons to students
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching methods
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance

 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team

Experience:

Previous teaching experience is desirable but not essential

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of educational principles and practises
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Proficient in using technology in the classroom

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school setting with students of varying ages and abilities
  • Full-time hours with occasional evening or weekend work required
  • Collaborative work environment with other teachers and staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
