About the role:
Here at Teaching Personnel, we are seeking Graduate Sports Coaches to work across a number of our partner secondary schools.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates with a background in sport who are looking to develop their classroom experience and gain valuable insight into the education sector. You’ll be stepping into lessons to supervise classes, ensure pupils remain on task and support learning across a range of subjects, all while using your coaching skills to engage, motivate and build positive relationships with students.
These roles are ideal for individuals considering a future in teaching or education, offering hands-on experience in behaviour management, classroom delivery and school routines. If you’re confident, proactive and enjoy working with young people, this could be the perfect next step for you.
Role responsibilities:

Supervising students and ensuring they stay focused on set work.

Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

Supporting students with their learning across different subjects.

Building positive relationships and promoting a respectful learning environment.

Assisting with general school duties such as break and lunchtime supervision where required.
Role Requirements:

A degree in Sports Science, Coaching, Physical Education or a related field.

Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
-
Confidence in managing groups of young people and maintaining a positive learning atmosphere.

Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and year groups.

A proactive, enthusiastic and professional approach to all aspects of the role.

Experience working with children or young people (e.g. in schools, coaching or youth work) is desirable.

An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures (training can be provided).

An up-to-date DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
-
A genuine passion for helping students achieve their potential both academically and personally.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
