Graduate Sports Coach
Manchester

  • Full time role, Term time only
  • £1200 - £1300 per month
  • Ideal role for graduates looking to get into teaching
  • Introduction to a supportive PE department

Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint a Graduate Sports Coach to assist in a busy and successful PE department with effect from September 2019. The successful candidate will play a significant role in the coaching of students and will support in PE lessons across a range of age groups and abilities. This post will run for one academic year with the potential to continue on to a permanent contract.

The ideal candidate will have a Sports Coaching or relevant degree and will have experience working with secondary aged students. This is an ideal role for graduates who are looking to pursue a career in teaching and wish to gain school based experience prior to starting their Teacher Training.

The successful Graduate Sports Coach will take responsibility of:

  • Supporting the Head of PE and PE teachers in the department in the planning, preparation and delivery of lessons across all year groups
  • Covering lessons in the short term absence of teachers
  • Work with the department to organise curriculum sport, activities, fixtures and tournaments
  • Support students with Special Educational Needs

Our client school is a thriving secondary school with just under 800 pupils on roll located in South Manchester. The school is just a short drive from the city centre and is easily accessible via public transport and Metrolinks. The school also has a large car park for all staff members. The school has become the local secondary provider of choice at the heart of the community and has been on an amazing journey to improve education for all of their students. The school recently received an excellent Ofsted which commented on its 'Outstanding' features for teaching and pastoral support.
