Location: Sunderland
Hours: 08:30 - 15:30
Pay Rate: £90 - £105 per day

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a number of specialist schools throughout the Sunderland area and due to an increase in demand we are now looking to expand our pool of support staff.

Suitable for all graduates or students with part time availability (Minimum 2 days) - Willingness and desire to work with children with SEN is essential

We are working with a local school in Hampton who require multiple trainee teaching assistants to work on a full-time basis. If you are looking to gain experience working with children this could be a great opportunity for you.

The ideal candidate will be able to:

  • Work effectively as part of a team within the classroom ensuring that all the children are looked after and learning from the taught content.
  • Work 1:1 with children with SEN.
  • Be confident in responding to challenging behaviours
  • Work coherently with teachers in providing support for students.
  • Have a passion for assisting students.
  • Be enthusiastic and proactive in the classroom.
  • Promote and encourage independence and personal development.

Candidates that have been successful within this setting have had some experience in any of the following:

  • Scouts Leadership
  • Sports Coaching
  • Challenging Behaviour Settings
  • Health and Social Care Settings
  • 1:1 Support
  • SEN TA
  • Educational Settings
  • Psychology Students
  • Childhood Studies Students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
