Graduate Learning Support Assistant
Job description
Are you a university graduate looking to support children with complex to achieve their goals? Well, schools in Durham our seeking people to support their students on short and long term contracts.
The Newcastle Secondary team at Teaching Personnel, support and provide temporary and permanent staff to schools throughout the North east including Durham, Sunderland, Newcastle, Northumberland and Teesside. If you are a graduate looking to work in schools local to you, then this is an excellent opportunity to work within a variety of mainstream secondary schools. We have a range of work available, whether you are seeking a short-term placement or a fixed placement, we are able to help. Casual daily work as a Support Assistant is flexible and does not require full commitment; however, you would need to be available at short notice and able to travel to schools in your local area.
- Roles in schools include: Varied small group and/or 1:1 SEN Support as well as Learning Support
- Placements available and suitable to graduates / aspiring teachers
- Access to first rate courses and training (CPD) through our CPD Academy
- Degrees highly sought after include: Education based, Psychology and Sport
Now is the perfect time to join Teaching Personnel, that way you can be fully vetted and cleared for work in time for a September start, after your graduation. Experience is desirable but not essential and Teaching Personnel can offer you various training courses to build your knowledge and experience (behaviour management, safeguarding).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
